Rebecca Oswald is a pianist with fifteen years' professional experience in Houston, Texas. Between 1980 and 1995 she performed countless special occasion solo piano engagements, plus steady engagements (5-6 nights a week, from six months to three years' duration).
Her steady engagements included such venues as the Wyndham Warwick Hotel lobby lounge, the Westin Galleria Hotel's fine dining room/lounge (Delmonico's), the Houstonian Hotel's fine dining room/lounge, the Stouffers Hotel Greenway Plaza lobby lounge, the Brae-Burn Country Club fine dining room/lounge, and the Adams Mark Hotel Marker Restaurant (fine dining room).
Rebecca plays an extensive repertoire of classical, semi-classical, pop, light rock, easy listening, older and current musicals, movie themes, standards, and special requests.
Now living in Eugene, Rebecca is available to play for special occasions, parties, weddings/receptions, dinners, etc. She enjoys tailoring her repertoire to suit clients' musical tastes, and taking requests on the spot.
In 1998 Rebecca earned her BMus summa cum laude from Westminster Choir College (music theory and composition), and in 2001 she completed her MM from University of Oregon School of Music (composition). From 2002 to 2004 she was on the adjunct faculty at the University of Oregon School of Music, teaching in the theory and composition departments.
